Right Well it seems that I'm just not one of those people who can update a website that often...
I read blogs daily from other people and often think how 'easy' it must be, some of them make good money from it too. But of course it's always easier to critisise than do.
So in an attempt to get past bloggers block and just get something written, here's a list of some of the blogs that I frequent.

Crewed the InMe gig at the Cockpit last night, it was awesome!, I can't believe I get paid for essentially carrying some stuff, playing with a lighting board, drinking beer and watching bands. this is definately my new favourite job! Last night I learnt: - how to program scenes and chases on the lighting board
- what FROG does (on the lighting board)
- That I need to buy some white electrical tape and a sharpie if I'm going to be taken seriously
- how to manually control the MACs
- that InMe are worth watching
- that I knew 2 InMe songs that I didn't know were them
Next gig I am crewing for is 'The Blood Arm' on the 23rd of November, Never heard of them but it should be fun.

Started my new job today as 'Crew' for Futuresound and The Cockpit. I got thrown in at the deep end, having to Load in and Load out all of the Band's kit. Learnt how to: - Wire up Microphones and DIs
- that the term 'speaker' will get me nowhere and I need to know what the difference between a 'monitor' 'cab' is (and if there are any other different types of speakers that I need to know about)
- That the BBC invented a method of coiling cables which is apprently 'the industry standard'
- That nerds exist everywhere
- That I am in over my head already
apart from all of that I had an awesome time and I seemed to be doing alright. They even let/made me do the lighting for all of the bands and said I was good at it. I just had fun chair dancing with my fingers on the controls... god only knows what it actually looked like! Bands that played were: - some support band I forget the name of
- The Bluetones
All in all a good night, got to drink beer, smoke ciggies, and I was home by 12midnight so it beats the crap out of bartending!

Managed to get the Mrs to her gig DJing at 'the subculture' where I promised to hand her CD's to help her out and to apologise for trying to kill her on the bike the other day. It was a good night, not as many people as last time but then the Promoters seemed to have forgotten that part of the job of a Promoter, is to, well erm... Promote. Dance floor was full while she was on. The night started to fall apart when the gents AND ladies toilets all decided to block and then it started 'raining' behind the bar. A quick call to the most expensive tradesman in the phone book - the 24hr plumber - and hey presto, the toliets worked but it was still raining behind the bar so it had to shut early.

Went for a lovely motorbike ride today to Bolton Abbey..... my bike, on the other hand, had different ideas. It seems that it decided to spring an oil leak and spray the oil all over the back wheel.... fun fun fun when you try and ride around a round-about. *skid* - roll, roll, slide, thump, ouch. the mrs twisted her ankle really badly and I came away with bruises, really lucky I guess. It just took the piss that we were less than a mile away from the Abbey and our Picnic was spent on the side of the road while waiting for the AA to turn up.
