TinyMCE the editor which comes with Joomla and as it happens the same editor I am using now to type this post, doesn't deal well with sites with dark backgrounds.

It takes the background colour of the body of the website to be the background of the text field to type into. This causes no end of confusion and makes typing anything of meaning very difficult when both colours are dark.

There are several solutions to this most seem to be more of a work around than an actual fix. But the guys at Joomla Junkie have a beautifully simple and scalable solution.

Fix tinyMCE Editor Background

Not only is the solution easy to do, but means that you have another css file you can taylor to your needs without cluttering your main site template. It will also withstand upgrades and reinstalls as it is a seperate stylesheet so will not be overwritten by accident.
